Colossians 2:19
“and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth.”
What does Colossians 2:19 mean?
Paul is describing what happens when we lose our connection to Christ, who is the head of the church. When we drift away from him, we cut ourselves off from the spiritual nourishment and unity that holds believers together. Just as a physical body needs to stay connected to its head through nerves and blood vessels to function and grow, the church needs to stay firmly rooted in Jesus to experience real spiritual development. When that connection is strong, believers are naturally supplied with what they need and held together in genuine community, growing in the way God designed.
