What does Colossians 2:10 mean?
You're complete in Christ, even when you feel like something's missing. Paul wrote this to a church that was being pressured to add extra spiritual practices and rules to their faith, as if Jesus alone weren't enough. He wanted them to understand that union with Christ means fullness, wholeness, and sufficiency, not because they'd achieved some perfect spiritual state, but because he is, and they belong to him. This is deeply freeing: you don't need to keep searching for what will finally make you whole or finally make you acceptable to God.
