Acts 7:4
“Then he came out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and lived in Haran. From there, when his father was dead, God moved him into this land, where you are now living.”
What does Acts 7:4 mean?
When God called Abraham, He asked him to leave everything familiar—his homeland, his relatives, his security. Abraham obeyed and moved to Haran with his father Terah, but he didn't immediately go to the land God had promised him. He waited there until his father died, and only then did God direct him onward to what would become Israel. This reminds us that faithfulness doesn't always mean instant action or dramatic moves.
