What does Acts 5:3 mean?
Ananias and his wife had sold some property and promised to give all the proceeds to the church community, but they secretly kept some money for themselves while claiming they were giving everything. Peter's words cut right to the heart of the matter: this wasn't just a financial disagreement, but a choice to deceive God and his people in an act of selfishness dressed up as generosity. What makes this moment so serious is that the early church was built on radical honesty and trust in God's provision.
