What does Acts 4:29 mean?

The disciples had just been arrested and warned not to teach about Jesus, yet their response wasn't to pray for safety or comfort. Instead, they asked God to give them courage to keep speaking even more boldly. This prayer shows something beautiful about faith in hard moments: rather than asking for the obstacles to disappear, they asked for strength to face them directly. When we find ourselves intimidated or silenced by what others think, this prayer invites us to ask God not for an easier path, but for a steadier heart and a clearer voice to speak what we believe matters most.
