What does Acts 2:28 mean?

This is Peter quoting the Psalms on Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit arrived in power. He's reminding everyone that God doesn't just point us toward life, God actually walks us into it, step by step. The "ways of life" aren't abstract rules but a living relationship where we discover what it means to truly flourish. The promise here is deeply personal: God's presence itself is what fills us with joy, not circumstances or achievements. If you're carrying heaviness right now, this verse whispers that gladness isn't something you have to manufacture or earn, it comes from being near to God. That nearness is available to you.
