What does Acts 16:4 mean?
Paul and Silas were traveling through different towns, sharing important decisions that the leaders of the Jerusalem church had made about how followers of Jesus should live. These weren't arbitrary rules meant to burden people, but guidelines the whole leadership team had carefully worked out together, especially about how Jewish and non-Jewish believers could worship and eat together without cultural conflict. By passing along these decisions in person, Paul helped churches understand they weren't alone in their struggles and that the whole movement was united in caring for them. It's a picture of how the early church tried to stay connected and supportive, even across long distances.
