Acts 14:16

What does Acts 14:16 mean?
God let people and nations follow their own paths for a long time before sending Jesus into the world. This doesn't mean God wasn't aware of what was happening or didn't care, but rather that He gave humanity space to live according to their own understanding and choices. Paul is reminding his listeners that what seemed like abandonment or silence was actually God's patient way of allowing people freedom, even when they wandered far from truth. This sets up his next point: that God's revelation through Jesus marks a shift, an invitation to turn toward something better that's now been made clear.
