Acts 1:7
“He said to them, “It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.”
What does Acts 1:7 mean?
Jesus is telling his followers that trying to figure out when God's plans will unfold is beyond their job description. God alone holds the timing and scope of everything that matters, and that's not information we're meant to predict or anxiously calculate. Instead of getting lost in wondering "when," Jesus is essentially redirecting their energy toward what they can actually do right now: wait, pray, and prepare to witness to the world. There's something deeply freeing in accepting that the biggest questions about history's direction belong to God, and we're invited to trust that rather than strain ourselves trying to know the unknowable.
