What does 2 Corinthians 6:15 mean?
Paul is asking his readers to think carefully about what happens when someone tries to blend two completely opposite ways of living. "Belial" was an ancient term for wickedness or Satan, so Paul's first question is really asking: how can Jesus and evil actually work together? The answer is: they can't. The second question broadens this out to everyday relationships. He's not saying believers should be cold or unkind to non-believers, but he's pointing out that when our deepest commitments go in opposite directions, we end up compromised or pulled apart. This often comes up in marriages, close business partnerships, or friendships where someone's faith becomes a real pressure point.
