2 Corinthians 5:15
βHe died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.β
What does 2 Corinthians 5:15 mean?
When Christ died and rose again, he did it for everyone, not just a select few. That act of complete self-giving is meant to transform how we live now, redirecting our focus away from our own desires and toward him and his purposes. Paul is saying that if we truly understand what Jesus did for us, we can't keep living as though we're the center of our own story. Instead, we're invited into a life where gratitude and love for Jesus become the motivating force behind our choices, rather than fear, ambition, or self-protection.
