What does 2 Chronicles 6:7 mean?

David had a deep desire to build a temple, a permanent place where God's people could gather and worship together. Though David wasn't the one who actually constructed it (that would be his son Solomon), his longing shows how much he valued creating a sacred space dedicated to the Lord. This verse reminds us that God honors the genuine desires of our hearts, even when we don't get to see them fully realized ourselves. Sometimes our faithfulness plants seeds that others will harvest, and that's a beautiful part of serving God across generations.
