What does 2 Chronicles 33:2 mean?
King Manasseh started his reign by deliberately choosing to do what God hated, copying the very practices that had made the surrounding nations so corrupt that God had removed them from the land. The verse shows us a deliberate rejection of his own heritage and God's standards, turning instead toward idolatry and wickedness that the Israelites had been specifically warned against.
