1 Timothy 6:15
βwhich in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;β
What does 1 Timothy 6:15 mean?
God's perfect timing and ultimate authority are at the heart of this promise. Paul is reminding Timothy (and us) that while we may not see God's full plan unfold when we want it to, He alone governs history and will reveal His purposes at exactly the right moment. The titles "King of kings and Lord of lords" emphasize that no earthly power, no matter how impressive, compares to God's sovereignty, and He doesn't answer to anyone but Himself. This matters most when we're anxious or impatient about how things are turning out in our lives or in the world. It's an invitation to trust that the One running everything is genuinely good and in complete control, even when we can only see what's directly in front of us.
