1 Thessalonians 3:7
βfor this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.β
What does 1 Thessalonians 3:7 mean?
Paul is telling the Thessalonian church that their steadfast faith actually became a source of encouragement to him during his own struggles. He's experiencing hardship, but knowing that these believers are standing firm in their trust gives him strength to keep going. It's a beautiful reminder that faith doesn't only comfort the person who holds it, but it can lift up those around us too, especially the people who care about us. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give others isn't solving their problems, but simply showing them that we're choosing to trust God anyway.
