What does 1 Samuel 1:12 mean?
Hannah had been silently pouring out her deepest longing to God, her lips moving without sound as she prayed for a child. The priest Eli noticed her mouth moving and misunderstood what was happening, assuming she was drunk because her prayer was so silent and intense that only her lips gave her away.
