What does 1 Peter 4:16 mean?
When your faith costs you something, whether that's ridicule, rejection, or real hardship, it's natural to feel embarrassed or want to hide. Peter is telling us we don't need to do that. Instead, he invites us to hold our heads up and even see our suffering as a chance to honor God, showing the world what genuine conviction looks like. This doesn't mean we should seek out trouble or be reckless. It means when difficulty comes specifically because of our faith, we have permission to stop apologizing for who we are.
