What does 1 Corinthians 3:21 mean?
Paul is gently redirecting the Corinthian church away from something he's noticed: they've been dividing into camps, each claiming loyalty to different leaders like Paul, Apollos, or Peter. He's reminding them that these human leaders, however gifted, aren't the point, and certainly aren't worth building your whole faith identity around. The freedom he's offering here is actually liberating. When you stop treating human leaders as ultimate authorities or trying to prove which teacher is best, you gain access to so much more. All the spiritual resources, all the truth, all the growth available through Christ becomes yours to draw from directly. You're not locked into one person's limitations or waiting for approval from a particular camp. What matters is your connection to Jesus and the community of believers, not your attachment to any one figure.
