What does 1 Corinthians 15:51 mean?
Paul is sharing something extraordinary here, something he describes as a mystery (meaning a divine truth that wasn't fully understood before Jesus came). He's telling the Corinthian church that not everyone will experience physical death, yet everyone who belongs to Christ will be transformed into their eternal form. Some believers will still be alive when Jesus returns and will be instantly changed without dying first, while those who have already died will be raised and transformed as well. The stunning promise is that no one is left out of this renewal, whether we're living or have already passed away.
