What does 1 Corinthians 13:9 mean?
Our understanding of God, life, and truth is always incomplete in this world. Even those who speak God's truth or receive spiritual insight are limited by their human perspective and knowledge. Paul is reminding us that none of us has the whole picture, which should make us humble about what we claim to know and gentle toward those who see things differently. This sets up his famous point about love being more important than spiritual gifts or impressive knowledge.
