What does 1 Chronicles 13:11 mean?
David's anger here masks something deeper: fear and confusion. He'd just watched a man die instantly for steadying the ark of the covenant when it started to slip off the cart, and it shattered him. In that moment, David couldn't see what God was protecting—the sacred holiness of his presence—and instead felt only that God had been harsh and unpredictable. The name "Perez Uzza" (meaning "outbreak against Uzza") became a permanent memorial, a place on the map where David's bewilderment lived. Sometimes our hardest spiritual moments get marked like this, becoming part of our story not because we understand them, but because they changed us.
