The promise that God is with you in dark valleys reminds you that you are not alone in your pain, just as Buddy was once there for you.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;”
2 Corinthians 1:3
God is called the Father of compassion who comforts us in all our troubles, and your grief over losing Buddy is real and worth that comfort.
“Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.”
Psalms 34:18
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted, and your sorrow over losing your companion and your job both matter and are seen.
