Zephaniah 1:8
“It will happen in the day of Yahweh’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, the king’s sons, and all those who are clothed with foreign clothing.”
What does Zephaniah 1:8 mean?
Zephaniah wrote during a time of spiritual and political decay in Judah, when the leadership had abandoned God's ways and adopted the customs of surrounding nations. The "foreign clothing" here isn't literally about fabric, but represents the wholesale abandonment of God's values in favor of other nations' gods, practices, and power systems.
