Zechariah 8:2
“Yahweh of Armies says: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.””
What does Zechariah 8:2 mean?
God's passion here isn't petty or insecure, but fierce and protective, like a parent who cares deeply about their child's wellbeing. Zion represents God's people and the place of his presence, and he's expressing that he won't stand by while they're oppressed or forgotten.
