Zechariah 2:6
“Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,’ says Yahweh; ‘for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says Yahweh.”
What does Zechariah 2:6 mean?
God is calling His scattered people to escape danger and return to Him from wherever they've been dispersed, using vivid language about the four winds to show just how far they've been scattered across the earth. This message came during a time when the Jewish people were living in exile, far from home, and needed both the urgent call to flee what was harmful and the reassurance that God hadn't lost track of them, even when they were spread to the ends of the earth.
