What does Zechariah 10:2 mean?
When people turn to false sources for guidance—whether idols, fortune tellers, or empty promises—they're left wandering without real help or direction. The verse pictures this spiritual confusion as sheep without a shepherd, scattered and vulnerable because they followed voices that couldn't actually lead them anywhere. Those false comforts might feel reassuring in the moment, but they leave people more lost and oppressed than before, with no one truly caring for their wellbeing. The real comfort and guidance people desperately need comes only from a trustworthy source, not from whatever hollow voices whisper in the darkness.
