What does Titus 3:10 mean?
When someone is determined to divide a community by pushing their own agenda over and over—even after being corrected—sometimes the healthiest response is to step back from that relationship. Paul is telling Titus that patience has limits: you warn someone once, you warn them again, but if they keep choosing conflict and divisiveness, continuing to engage with them often just feeds the problem. This doesn't mean cruelty or permanent banishment, but rather protecting the peace of your community and your own well-being. It acknowledges a hard truth: not everyone will respond to good faith efforts to resolve tension, and sometimes the most loving thing you can do is create some distance. That's true wisdom in any community trying to stay united.
