What does Titus 1:7 mean?
Paul is laying out what a church leader should look like, and it's a pretty demanding picture. He's saying that because a leader represents God's household (that's what "steward" means), they need to be someone whose character actually matches what they're teaching. Notice it's not mostly about skills or impressive credentials, but about how they treat people and handle themselves: keeping their anger in check, staying away from excess, and refusing to abuse their position for money or power.
