What does Titus 1:2 mean?
Paul reminds us that our hope isn't built on wishful thinking or someone's empty promise, but on God's own character and word. God cannot lie, which means His commitment to give us eternal life is as reliable as His very nature. This promise wasn't something God came up with as an afterthought, but something He settled before He even created the world, before time itself started moving forward.
