What does Ruth 1:18 mean?
Naomi had been trying to convince her daughter-in-law Ruth to stay behind in Moab rather than follow her back to Bethlehem, thinking it would be better for Ruth's future. When Naomi finally realized Ruth's mind was completely made up, she stopped arguing and accepted her companion's choice. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is recognize when someone we care about has made a firm decision and step back from trying to change their mind.
