What does Romans 8:29 mean?

God's plan has always been to shape us into the likeness of Jesus, and he's known from the beginning exactly who would be part of that journey. This isn't about God controlling us like puppets, but rather about his deep knowledge of who we are and his intention to transform us from the inside out, making us more loving, more patient, more like Christ himself. The promise here is stunning: we're not meant to stay as we are, but to gradually become family to Jesus, all of us brothers and sisters being reshaped together. It's both humbling (we need this transformation) and deeply hopeful (God has already seen us through to the other side of it).
