Romans 6:5
βFor if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;β
What does Romans 6:5 mean?
When you trust in Jesus, you're spiritually connected to what he went through: his death and his rising again. Paul is saying that this isn't just something that happened to Jesus two thousand years ago, but something that actually transforms you. Just as Jesus died to sin and rose to new life, you experience that same pattern in your own spiritual journey, moving from being trapped by sin toward genuine freedom and renewal. The promise here is that if you're truly joined to him in his death, you cannot be separated from him in his resurrection, meaning new life isn't just a future hope but something that's already beginning to work in you now.
