Romans 5:11
“Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.”
What does Romans 5:11 mean?
When we've been hurt or separated from someone we love, reconciliation—that bridge-building moment when the relationship is restored—feels like coming home. Paul is saying that through Jesus, we've received that kind of reconciliation with God, and it's so complete that we can't help but rejoice in it. The wonder isn't just that our relationship with God is fixed, but that we get to experience the joy of that restoration right now, not someday down the road. He's inviting us to let that reality sink in: the separation is over, the way back is open, and that's genuinely something to celebrate.
