What does Romans 3:2 mean?
Paul is answering his own question about whether being Jewish carries any real advantage. His answer is a resounding yes, and he points to something profound: the Jewish people were given the responsibility of preserving God's word and truth. They held the scriptures, the Law, the prophets, and the covenants that reveal who God is and what he desires. This wasn't a privilege meant to create pride, but rather a sacred trust, a calling to steward something precious for all humanity. Even when the people failed to live up to their calling, the value of what was entrusted to them remained. This reminds us that knowing God's truth is both a gift and a responsibility we don't carry alone.
