What does Romans 2:6 mean?
God will ultimately settle accounts with each person based on how they've actually lived. This isn't about earning your way to heaven through good behavior, but rather God seeing the full reality of who we are and what we've done, holding us accountable for our choices. Paul wrote this to remind both Jews and non-Jews that no one escapes God's fair assessment, whether they knew His law or not. It's meant to humble us and point us toward grace, since none of us can stand before God on our works alone.
