Romans 13:3
“For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same,”
What does Romans 13:3 mean?
When you do what's right, authority figures aren't something to fear, they're actually there to support you. This verse assumes that governments exist partly to protect people who are living honestly and doing good in their communities. If you're genuinely trying to help others and live with integrity, you won't find yourself at odds with those in power. The encouragement here is simple: live well, and you'll find that the structures around you work for you rather than against you, and you may even gain respect from those in authority.
