Romans 13:14

What does Romans 13:14 mean?
Paul is encouraging us to live in a way that reflects our faith in Jesus, rather than being controlled by impulses that pull us away from God. "Putting on" Christ is like clothing yourself with his character and values, letting them shape how you think and act. The second part isn't saying the body or its needs are evil, but rather warns against feeding destructive desires (greed, jealousy, sexual excess, anger) by planning for them or making room for them to grow. It's practical wisdom: if you're trying to live differently, don't set yourself up to stumble by putting temptation right in front of you. The focus is on redirecting your energy and attention toward what honors God and yourself.
