“for the great day of his wrath has come; and who is able to stand?””
What does Revelation 6:17 mean?
When everything falls apart, people realize they cannot hide from God or save themselves through their own strength. This verse captures a moment of reckoning where human power, wealth, and status offer no protection, and even the most powerful people on earth tremble because they finally understand they need God's mercy. The question "who is able to stand?" isn't looking for an answer in that moment, but invites us to consider now, while there's still time: will we prepare our hearts, or wait until it's too late?
