Revelation 6:11

A long white robe was given to each of them. They were told that they should rest yet for a while, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who would also be killed even as they were, should complete their course.

What does Revelation 6:11 mean?

When John sees the souls of those who died for their faith, they're given white robes, a symbol of victory and belonging to God. They're then told to wait a little longer, because more people will join them in that ultimate sacrifice before God's plan reaches completion. This isn't meant as punishment but as reassurance, acknowledging that their suffering was real while inviting them into a larger story still unfolding. For people suffering today, it speaks to the difficult truth that pain doesn't always end quickly, yet reminds us that our struggles are never isolated or forgotten by God.
