Revelation 5:6

β€œI saw in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.”

What does Revelation 5:6 mean?

John is describing a vision of Jesus as a Lamb who bears the marks of sacrifice yet stands alive and powerful at the very center of heaven's throne room. The seven horns and seven eyes represent completeness and all-knowing authority, while the seven Spirits signify God's Holy Spirit moving throughout the entire world with perfect knowledge and presence. This imagery holds together two seemingly opposite truths: Jesus is both the vulnerable sacrifice who died for us and the mighty ruler whose authority extends everywhere. For anyone carrying pain or wondering if God sees what they're going through, this verse suggests that the God who understands our deepest suffering is also the God who sees everything, knows everything, and holds all power.
