What does Revelation 21:24 mean?
In this vision of God's renewed creation, John describes a restored world where all peoples—represented by nations and their leaders—finally live in harmony under God's presence. The "light" refers to God's direct glory illuminating everything, so there's no more darkness, confusion, or separation from the divine. Rather than competing for power or hoarding resources, even the greatest earthly authorities bring their finest gifts and achievements into this restored city, contributing what they've built and valued to something infinitely greater than themselves.
