Revelation 2:1
““To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write: “He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:”
What does Revelation 2:1 mean?
Jesus presents himself here with an image of power and intimate presence, holding the stars (representing the church's leaders) in his hand while walking among the lampstands (representing the churches themselves). This opening tells the Ephesian church that their leader, Jesus, isn't distant or removed, but actively present among them and in control of their spiritual leadership. The message is meant to establish his authority and care before he shares what he sees about their condition, reminding them that whatever challenge comes next, it comes from someone who knows them deeply and holds their future in his hands.
