Revelation 19:8
βIt was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.β
What does Revelation 19:8 mean?
The "her" here refers to the bride of Christ, the church, being prepared for ultimate union with Jesus. The fine linen represents the righteous deeds and holy lives of believers, not as something we earn our way into heaven with, but as the natural expression of a life transformed by God's grace. It's a beautiful image: what we do matters, how we live matters, and our faithful choices become part of our eternal beauty and identity. This encourages us to live well not out of fear or obligation, but because our actions reflect who we're becoming and who we belong to.
