“He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.”
What does Revelation 13:14 mean?
This passage describes a deceiver (often called the "false prophet") who uses impressive miracles to convince people to worship a powerful, destructive system or leader. The "image to the beast" represents giving power and allegiance to something destructive, often through the influence of charismatic figures who perform wonders that seem to validate their claims.
