What does Revelation 11:7 mean?
When God's witnesses have completed the work he's called them to do, a powerful destructive force will rise up to silence them. This isn't a promise that faithful work goes unnoticed or unrewarded, but rather an honest acknowledgment that speaking truth often invites opposition, and sometimes that opposition wins in earthly terms. The passage reminds us that God allows evil to have real power in this world, even if only temporarily and within limits. What matters is that the witnesses finish their testimony first, suggesting that what we're called to do gets accomplished regardless of what comes after.
