Psalms 87:6
“Yahweh will count, when he writes up the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah.”
What does Psalms 87:6 mean?
God is keeping a record of all people, and when He writes their names down, He acknowledges where they come from and who they truly are. The psalmist is saying that being counted by the Lord matters, that our origins and identities aren't forgotten or overlooked by Him. This speaks to belonging and being known by God in a way that's deeper than earthly geography, suggesting that everyone has a place in God's attention and care.
