“Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;”
What does Psalms 83:9 mean?
The psalmist is calling on God to defeat Israel's enemies with the same decisive power shown in two famous Old Testament battles. Midian was crushed by Gideon's small force, and Sisera's Canaanite army was routed by Deborah and Barak at the Kishon River.
