What does Psalms 82:2 mean?

The psalmist is calling out leaders and judges who twist justice to favor the wealthy and powerful while abandoning those who have no one to advocate for them. This question isn't really asking for an answer, it's a cry of urgency that carries the weight of real suffering, as if to say: "How much longer will this injustice continue?" The "selah" invites us to pause and let that ache sink in, because the psalmist is naming something many of us have felt: the gut-level wrongness of a system that seems rigged against the vulnerable.
