What does Psalms 78:30 mean?
God's people had barely received the miraculous gift of quail in the wilderness when they were already chasing after more, unwilling to be satisfied with what they'd been given. The psalmist paints a picture of restless hunger, where even abundance can't quiet the desire for excess. Sometimes what we want matters more to us than what we already have, and that misdirected longing can pull us away from gratitude and trust.
