What does Psalms 78:24 mean?

When the Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years with no crops or markets, God provided a miraculous bread-like substance called manna that appeared each morning on the ground. This wasn't ordinary food that came from normal sources, but rather something that fell from heaven itself, showing God's direct care for his people during their greatest need. The psalmist uses this ancient memory to remind readers that God doesn't abandon those who depend on him, even when circumstances feel impossibly harsh. It's a picture of provision that goes beyond what we might expect or deserve, offered day after day to those with nowhere else to turn.
